Mental Health Services

General Information

The Mental Health Program provides support specifically designed to address the educationally related mental health needs of district general and special education students. Services are provided at school sites and offices throughout the district. The program has specialized programs to meet student needs, such as elementary and middle school day treatment, parenting classes, case management, and psychiatric evaluation.

Mission Statement

The PSUSD Mental Health Program provides integrated educationally related mental and emotional health services to Special  & General Education students through a variety of means (individual, group, case management, and specialized programing) and service providers (licensed, intern, paraprofessional, and support staff) to make a measurable positive impact on attendance, test scores, as well as a decrease in behavior problems and discipline in the district's student population. The mental health program uses evidenced based practices to provide the best modes of treatment to its students for maximum educational benefit.
